Delicious Vietnamese meat pies made with woodear mushrooms, ground meat, and puff pastry, cooked in an air fryer or baked, and brushed with egg yolk for a golden finish.
Soak woodear mushrooms in hot water for 20-30 minutes or until you’re done making the filling. Then drain and cut/chop into small pieces.
Make the filling by mixing all of your ingredients listed under filling.
Cut your puff pastries into 9 little squares. For 2 sheets, you'll have 18 squares.
Fill puff pastry squares with your filling and place another puff pastry on top. Seal the edges with egg whites and score around the pastry.
Brush egg yolk over the top.
Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes or airfry at 310°F for 15-20 minutes.
